Who doesn’t love a nice scoop of delicious nut butter? And heck, who else couldn’t use a bit of extra mood boosting nutrients these days?

Personally, I am obsessed with nut buttas! However, sometimes these products are pretty expensive. Luckily for you, I love playing around in my kitchen to help you find cheaper ways to enjoy these products and with less ingredients and hopefully even things you have on hand!

Nut butter! Personally, nuts naturally on their own taste so good, you don’t need the added sugar and oils many companies are adding.

Today, I just want to tell you how to quickly make some nutritious mood boosting nut butter!

You will need://

A food processor - or high powered blender

1 Cup of Pecans

1 Cup of Walnuts

I also added a 1/2 cup of Brazil Nuts

1 Teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon

Pinch of Sea Salt

Slightly roast/warm nuts in a pan until warm and lightly fragrant. Place in a food processor and turn on- after amount a minute, turn off and stir and resume blending in the food processor until smooth.

And that is it!

I call this a mood boosting nut butter for a ton of reasons I’ll break it down!

FAT!! Fat is just pure medicine for your brain!

Nuts are loaded with important minerals that aid mental health! Selenium, copper, magnesium, manganese and ZINC.

Walnut & Brazil Nuts are RICH in selenium! Selenium elevates mood, reduces inflammation, and helps support the thyroid and immune system.

Walnuts are one of the richest plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids. They also help replace B vitamins, critical for mood. Brazil nuts have lots of magnesium, which helps calm the nerves, as well as zinc, an antidepressant element that combats anxiety.

Ceylon Cinnamon - which helps support your blood sugar!! By stimulating insulin activity! Helping keep those blood sugar moods at bay- hey you hanger.

And lastly- sea salt! For your adrenals!

Super easy- Store in your fridge. And enjoy!

With love,

Amanda
